Best Use & Repotting Guide
  • When to Repot: The best time to repot your citrus tree is in the spring, just as the plant enters its active growth phase, before flowering begins.
  • Selecting a Pot: Choose a container that is only 2–3 inches (5–8 cm) larger in diameter than the current pot. Ensure the new pot has ample drainage holes at the base.
  • Step-by-Step Application:
    1. Place a thin layer of the Citrus Focus Repotting Mix at the bottom of the new pot.
    2. Gently ease the tree out of its old container, taking care not to disturb the healthy root ball excessively.
    3. Position the tree in the centre of the new pot, ensuring it sits at the same soil depth as it did previously.
    4. Fill the gaps around the sides with fresh mix, tapping the pot gently to settle the substrate. Lightly firm the top with your fingers.
    5. Water thoroughly until water drains freely from the bottom, then place the pot in a bright, sunny position.
  • Pro Care Tip: While this mix contains a starter charge of organic nutrients, citrus trees are heavy feeders. Begin supplementary feeding with a liquid fertiliser, like Citrus Focus, 4 to 6 weeks after repotting to maintain vibrant growth and abundant fruit.
